We (Gordon & Lorrie Mackie) are based in Edinburgh & Maratea in Basilicata in the stunning south of Italy, we specialise in custom made dive travel to Italy, Truk, Bikini, Palau, Belize, Andamans and more and have a unique working relationship with MedIT - run by Luciano Tanini and his associates, the pioneers of Grotta Giusti diving, developers of the Spa Diver Course and the only dive company allowed to dive Grotta Giusti. I will be delighted to assist you in arranging holidays for divers and non-divers to the delightful Grotta Giusti Spa - home of fantastic cave diving in gin clear, 34 degree Centigrade waters. have a unique relationship with dive centres in Lipari and South Italy and can
offer a dive experience that no other dive travel agency can rival.
Our aim is to provide unusual dive vacations using 4 star accommodation for individuals and groups, with alternative tours, excursions and spa treatments for non diving partners. The selection below all fit that bill.
A qualified Royal Navy diver and BSAC First Class Diver / CMAS **** / BSAC Advanced Instructor, CMAS & ANDI Instructor, I have travelled and dived all over the globe since 1974. I will be delighted to pull together bespoke vacations to some of the fantastic places I have dived in the past, such as Scapa Flow, Truk, Bikini Atoll and Belize.
I also formed and run BSAC-Italia (Branch 2418) specialising in Italian / Scottish dive association and harmony.
In the summer of 2004, we started offering Technical Dive trips to deep Italian wrecks in the 60-80 meter range, such as the Supertanker "Amoco Milford Haven"(wreck guide). Techie Heaven for Trimix and Rebreather divers. Dino Sub in Praia a Mare near Maratea also specialise in deep diving and can supply Nitrox, Trimix, Heliox and O2.
As a Scot, I am delighted to organise and lead dive trips to my "home sites" of Loch Long, Loch Fyne, The Forth (Wrecks and Bass Rock / St Abbs & Eyemouth), Oban / Sound of Mull, Islay and the inner Hebrides, The Summer Isles, St. Kilda, Orkneys & Shetlands and the Moray Firth. I have been diving Scotland and Scapa Flow for over 30 years.
We are divers first and travel agents second - our love is diving and we aim to provide a world class service that allows you to book a completely custom made trip - we specialise in trips for groups which involve many different elements with clients adding on their own chosen side trips. This could be a club trip to Truk with some of the group diving Palau, some then doing Bikini and varied stop-overs in Australia, New Zealand or the States on the return leg. We defy you to come up with a requirement that we cannot meet.
FLIGHTS
We can arrange flights from all UK regional airports or you can arrange your own flights and we will quote for diving and accommodation only. All flights will be booked with our ATOL bonded agents * for your protection. We only use major airlines, not low cost airlines as baggage weight limitations and problems with reliability are not features we like to sell. If you wish to make your own flight arrangements using Easyjet, HL Express or Ryanair you can get extremely cheap flights.
