BIKINI ATOLL
BIKINI ATOLL - still in the planning stages
I am trying to organise a live aboard to pick up in Majuro or Kwajalein to do Bikini but have not found one that can run the trip at a reasonable cost (as it takes fuel to get from their base to Majuro). I have some discussions ongoing but nothing concrete.
28 May 2008 - I have been informed today that Bikini Atoll is closing down after 13 years. It is not known when or even if it will open again. I will be in constant contact with them and hopefully this fantastic destination will open again.
This was the highlight of my diving
career. Dive the Saratoga, Nagato and many, many more. If you are going to
Bikini, why not do "the big 2" and do Truk Lagoon as well. Another
great option is to combine Palau with Truk or Bikini - or go crazy and do all 3!
Also, while in the Marshall Islands, you could add on diving in Majuro or a live
aboard trip on the MV Oleanda to Rongelap and Kwajalein.
